1. Gresham House
✅ Best Spa Hotel in Cambridge

⭐️ Rating: 5/5 | 💷 Cost: ££££ | 🏩 Book Now!
Gresham House is set in an exquisitely preserved Victorian villa tucked away in the heart of Cambridge’s conservation area.
Attached to the excellent Gonville Hotel, one of the poshest hotels in Cambridge – you’ll often see their classic cars parked outside that you can book for a ride round town.

They have a day spa experience with a wide range of treatments, from massage to pre-natal and wellness therapies set in an oasis of calm, where you can relax away from the buzz of city life while still being in the heart of the city.

Couples room was wonderful and we loved that we could pick the scent of our body oil. Overall, 10/10. We cannot wait to come again.
If you want afternoon tea or a meal after your spa day, then they have a glass-walled conservatory when you can dine with views across Parker’s Piece, although I recommend their large bell tent in the garden if the weather is warm, which I enjoyed much more than being sat inside.
They also have real luxury rooms, so you can make a day of it.
📍Gonville Pl, Cambridge CB1 1LY

If you’re looking for real luxury and a wide range of massages from hot stones to bamboo massages, then the Qi Spa in the David Lloyd health club is the one for you.
It’s located outside of the town centre and doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it’s lovely inside, with very highly trained staff who will really look after you.

The massage itself was heaven! The facilities are amazing, especially the heated table and quality oils.
There’s plenty of parking, which makes this more suitable for those coming into Cambridge for a day spa experience. If you want a hotel room or food after your spa, then Gresham House is better.

Set in a countryside location about ten to fifteen minutes drive outside of Cambridge city centre, Cambridge Country Club has probably the largest range of facilities of any spa in the area, which is one of the reasons they won Best Day Spa in Western Europe and Scandinavia in 2022 at the Good Spa Awards.
There’s a full-sized pool with sauna and whirlpool, and you can have a range of treatments from a Himalayan salt spa experience to the usual range of Elemis treatments and massages.

4. Riverside Spa at Quy Mill
✅ Best Quiet, Out of Town Spa

Previously known as the Imagine Spa but now taken over by the neighbouring Quy Mill hotel, the Riverside Spa has improved in quality and once again offers a wide variety of treatments and experiences.
If you’re looking for an indoor heated pool, this is the closest spa to Cambridge city centre offering this, with the oak beams of the gym still really making this feel like a proper country retreat.

Everything was exceptional along with the spa facilities.
Treatments use Elemis products and are cheaper than comparable treatments in the city centre. If you have a car and don’t want to deal with Cambridge traffic, or you want to stay in a more country-style hotel, then this is one of the better options for you.
📍Church Rd, Cambridge CB25 9AF
5. The Glassworks
✅ Best Spa Day with Afternoon Tea in Cambridge

⭐️ Rating: 4/5 | 💷 Cost: ££ | 🏩 Book Now!
Located on the ground floor of the Varsity Hotel, The Glassworks is a fairly small spa but does have a jacuzzi with views over the river Cam, which I have spent many a happy afternoon sitting in – it’s not busy mid-week. They also have a gym which is full featured with modern equipment, although you might be competing with hotel guests for this.
The real reason you would come to The Glassworks though, is for the Elemis spa and afternoon tea combined package, which is very reasonably priced and gives you a range of spa treatments before you head to the rooftop restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows giving you a pretty special view of Cambridge.
